Code of Conduct

Your Green Action (“YGA”) is an initiative of the Wang & Tangang Foundation that brings together young people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and countries to learn, take action, and collaborate on climate solutions.

This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all participants, mentors, facilitators, and contributors involved in the Your Green Action program.

By joining YGA, you agree to uphold these principles.


1. Our Commitment

Your Green Action is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of:

  • nationality
  • race or ethnicity
  • gender identity or sexual orientation
  • religion or belief
  • ability or background

We believe diversity strengthens our community and our impact.


2. Expected Behavior

All participants are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect, empathy, and dignity
  • Engage in constructive, open, and respectful dialogue
  • Listen to different perspectives, especially across cultures
  • Communicate thoughtfully in learning spaces and community channels
  • Respect the purpose and values of the fellowship

Disagreement is allowed; disrespect is not.


3. Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not tolerated in any YGA space (including the website, learning platform, live sessions, and community groups):

  • Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory language
  • Intimidation, bullying, or personal attacks
  • Sexist, racist, or abusive comments
  • Sharing false, misleading, or harmful information intentionally
  • Disruptive behavior that undermines learning or community safety
  • Unauthorized sharing of private conversations or personal data

4. Online and Community Spaces

This Code of Conduct applies to all YGA-related spaces, including:

  • The learning platform (Tutor LMS)
  • Live sessions or virtual meetings
  • Social media challenges and check-ins
  • Messaging groups (e.g. WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord)

Participants are expected to maintain the same standards of respect online as they would in person.


5. Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, you are encouraged to report it confidentially.

All reports will be reviewed seriously and handled with discretion.


6. Consequences of Violations

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in:

  • A warning
  • Temporary suspension from activities
  • Removal from the fellowship
  • Revocation of certificates

The Wang & Tangang Foundation reserves the right to take appropriate action based on the severity of the situation.


7. Responsibility and Accountability

All participants share responsibility for maintaining a positive and respectful environment. By participating in Your Green Action, you agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a culture of trust and collaboration.


8. Changes to This Code

We may update this Code of Conduct to better reflect our values and community needs. Any updates will be published on this page.
